Self Expression Through Art
Expressing yourself through art can be freeing and therapeutic. Wonder Club encourages individuals to draw, paint or sketch their favourite things, self portraits and anything that represents themselves. You don’t have to be a pro at art to join in! Enjoy drawing things that you love!
SEND workshops that focus on self expression include; sensory through play, painting, drawing and crafting.
Wonder Club offers open conversations about equality, diversity and neurodiversity alongside the self expression art workshops.
Character Creation and Storytelling
Create your own short story and your own character! We have to start somewhere when creating our own story, comic or picture book, so why not start at Wonder Club! Jayne will read her own picture book that she made whilst at University that focuses on learning difficulties and encouragement. We will then discuss the book, the subject matter and where Jayne got her inspiration from! Use your imagination in this fun and creative workshop!
Curriculum Centred Art Workshops
Whatever you are studying right now, Wonder Club offers creative workshops centred around what you’re learning about. For example, if you’re learning about Ancient Egypt, you can draw your own hieroglyphics and write messages on coffee/tea stained paper or make your very own treasure map! Whatever you’re learning about, let us know! We’ll make a workshop for you!
Interview with an Artist
(Optional) Free with every workshop: gives you time to have a chat with Jayne about who she is, her work and her journey as an artist.
These talks are offered to libraries, colleges, community spaces, universities, primary and secondary schools and more! Offered free with every workshops!
Digital Art Classes
Learn how to use an iPad, apple pencil and the app Procreate! Facilitated by Jayne, these workshops show you the basics of drawing digitally and using different brush types, shapes, colours and more!
(school/library equipment such as iPads and apple pencils must be provided for these workshops)
